Short bio:
Carer Support Wiltshire is a local charity supporting unpaid carers of all ages in Wiltshire. We support carers through a range of services including peer to peer support cafes, specialised support groups, bereavement help points and wellbeing workshops.
We ensure they have a voice that is heard and work with health and social care professionals and employers to raise carer awareness and develop best practice.

Carer information: Long version
Are you looking after someone who couldn’t manage without your help? You could be helping with household tasks such as cleaning or cooking, administering medication, organising and transporting someone to medical appointments, providing personal care or providing emotional support. You could be doing it once a day, a couple of times a week or all the time. There are no time limits to being a carer.
We support carers through a range of services including:
- Carer cafes
- Here to Talk telephone befriending service
- Specialised peer support groups (such as our military and mental health carer cafes)
- Our family activities and support
- Young carer activities
- Carer well-being workshops which will start in April 2024
- Bereavement Help Points in partnership with Dorothy House and Prospect Hospice
- Distribution of the new Dementia Wristbands
- Carer grants
- GP carer-friendly award
- Hospital carer-friendly award
