Military Carer Support Worker

We have 2 vacancies for this role

18.5 hours per week

24 month contract

NJC scale point 22 – 25 (£21 074 – £23 111 pro rata)

Closing date: 9am on Monday 19th November 2018

Interviews: 29th and 30th November 2018

We are looking for someone for an exciting new project. To work with the military community, civilian agencies and training providers to ensure that carers in armed forces families are supported to achieve the same outcomes as carers in civilian communities and to coordinate delivery of services to military families

Transitions Assessment Worker

We have 2 vacancies for this role.

NJC Scale Grade Five, scale point 24 – 27 (£22,401 – £24,657)

Closing date: 9am on Monday 19th November 2018

Interviews: 29th and 30th November 2018

Your role will be to work in a small team to deliver assessments and support to young carers transitioning into adulthood as well as parent carers of young people turning 18. You will manage a caseload of young carers and working with others you will develop creative and supportive solutions for young carers to help them prepare for adulthood and to achieve their desired outcomes.

You will have experience of working with 16 – 25 year olds, both individually and in groups, as well as carrying out assessments.

Young Adult Carer Support Worker (Variable Hours)

No regular hours. Bank work – variable hours as required.

NJC Scale point 24 £22,401 (equiv. to £11.64 per hour plus holiday pay)

Closing date: 3rd December  2018

We are seeking a Young Adult Carer (YAC) Support Worker to work on a casual basis with our existing team offering support and advice to carers aged 16 – 25. The work will be varied and will range from setting up and supporting group activities, for example peer support groups and activity groups, as well working one to one with YACs who need additional support and information. There is flexibility in the number of hours required.

You will have experience of working with young people aged 16 – 25 and will be available to work during the day or weekend and evening work.
