As we continue evolving as an unpaid carer charity, we’ve had a hard think about where we want to take our peer support. Of course, we still want to offer unparalleled support groups for unpaid carers around Wiltshire, but we thought maybe we could do it slightly differently to what other organisations are offering at the moment.
And so, our monthly (1st Wednesday of every month) tabletop gaming evening (4.00pm – 7.00pm) was born! We want to help you create and bond with a community of like-minded individuals that understand the realities of being an unpaid carer. So, whether you want to come and chat with others about your caring responsibilities, simply have fun and make some friends with similar hobbies to you, or just want some alone time to focus on yourself – our tabletop gaming evening is the perfect place for you. We will have games for 2 people, games for groups, and of course models and paints that you can have a go at solo.
It’s not just the activity that makes this recurring evening stand out, it is also the fact that it’s not just carers who are welcome – those you care for are also welcome to come along and join in the fun! You don’t need to bring anything, just drop in and enjoy the evening!
No experience is needed to come along, so whether you’ve never played a game of monopoly in your life or you’re a seasoned Dungeons and Dragons player, pop in for your opportunity to connect with other unpaid carers while enjoying this fantastic hobby-filled evening!
