This FREE event is perfect for those looking to step away from the stress of everyday life and into the wild for a day filled with new friends, forest skills, roaring fires and good food! The workshop will be taking place from 9.30am – 4.00pm, in a woodland near Warminster – please note the exact address will be provided once you have booked onto this workshop.
This unique peer support event is designed to give you the opportunity to really switch off from your everyday routine of caring for your loved ones, focus on yourself and have some fun for a few hours. We know not everyone wants to bond over tea and cake in a café, and we want to cater to those of you who aren’t interested in more traditional peer support options.
The day begins at 9.30am in the midst of epic English woodland, with a warm welcome, teas and coffees, and a short briefing to introduce everyone to the activities ahead. You will then start by lighting the fire for both the ground oven and the main campfire, before preparing food to be cooked throughout the day – some to roast over the fire, and some to slowly bake beneath the earth! Once the cooking is underway, there will be a series of bushcraft activities – these will include building shelters, practising fire-lighting skills, and making natural cordage.
During the afternoon, you will continue exploring bushcraft techniques, alternating between hands-on skills and tending to the delicious campfire meal. As the day draws to a close, the group will gather around the fire to share and enjoy the food that you’ve prepared together. We aim to finish up around 4.00pm, leaving you with a full day of practical skills, good company, and a memorable outdoor experience.
