We are very happy to announce some fabulous changes that have been happening within our independent charity over the last couple of months!
After more than a decade of providing essential services for unpaid carers in Wiltshire, we are now able to be even more flexible and focus on the services that carers truly value and want, as we are no longer operating on behalf of Wiltshire Council.
We are thrilled to welcome our new Charity Manager, Vicki Williamson, and our new Chair of Trustees, Nigel Sully, who are both eager to lead us into this exciting new chapter of Carer Support Wiltshire. We’re so grateful for the hard work and dedication of our former CEO Leanne Hubbard and former Chair of Trustees Liz Brown – their passion and commitment have laid a strong foundation for the future of our organization.
Leanne Hubbard expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside dedicated individuals to improve the lives of carers in Wiltshire and Dorset, while Liz Brown shared her pride in the incredible work our team has achieved over the years. With their best wishes and support, we are ready to move forward and continue our mission to support unpaid carers in our community. Under Vicki’s leadership, we are excited to explore new opportunities to support carers in innovative ways.
Last year, we supported over 6000 carers in Wiltshire and Dorset, and we are committed to continuing our essential peer-support community offerings. From peer support groups to carer-specific workshops and young carer activities, we are here to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who dedicate themselves to caring for others.
With a renewed focus on the needs of carers and a dedication to expanding our partnerships and collaborations, we are excited for what’s to come at Carer Support Wiltshire. Thank you to all of our supporters who make our work possible. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of unpaid carers in Wiltshire and Dorset!
