Carers Rights Day 2022
This Carers Rights Day we have centred our campaign around YOU. We know how easy it is to lose sight of your own wellbeing when you are caring for someone, and we want to provide you with information about the legal and moral rights you possess.
These apply to the workplace, healthcare settings and when interacting with professionals. Understanding them is a powerful tool which can empower you to challenge things when these rights aren’t being met.
Find out more information about carers rights below.
Knowing your rights
However, we also want to acknowledge that the reality of being an unpaid carer is that the benefits these rights are meant to provide you are not always felt within our community. This 24 November we also want to amply your voices and experiences.
This year we are asking you what “I wish I’d known”. We want to give you the opportunity to share your experiences. So if you have a minute to spare, please click the link below and tell us what you wish you’d known when you first started caring for someone.
Tell us your “I wish I’d known…”
