A message from our Charity Manager this Christmas
‘As we move into the end of the year I wanted to take a look back on what an incredible year we have had here at Carer Support Wiltshire.
From author workshops for our young carers, to Carers Week cream teas, to Halloween parties and a live archaeological dig – it has been a busy 2024! We have held carer cafes and drop ins, facilitated training and respite grant applications, and helped support carers via our Here to Talk service.
We have even set up our brand new service – Carer Money Matters which will help carers access financial support and energy saving advice, from our dedicated Financial Wellbeing Officers!
Of course there is always more work to do, and more carers that need support, but 2024 has been a year we are incredibly proud of.
As an end of year thank you we held our annual Christmas Raffle which was drawn on 18th December. Some incredible prizes were won including the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer which was won by Lesley. You can see our very own Santa Claus, – Community Fundraising Officer Ruth – who will be out delivering prizes to the lucky winners over the next couple of weeks!
Thank you to everyone who has donated, supported, or been involved with us in any way in 2024. We hope we have been a source of support to the unpaid carer community in Wiltshire.
As always in 2025 we aim to go bigger and get better at what we do, and we hope to help many more people while doing so.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy Holidays from everyone at Carer Support Wiltshire to every one of you reading this. We hope this time is as restful and joyful as you deserve.’
