Worried about making ends meet for you or the people you care for? We’re excited to announce that we’re launching Carer Money Matters, a new service designed to help unpaid carers like you feel more confident about managing their finances.
As a carer, we understand that your own needs may not always come first, but we also know many of you are feeling the pressure of rising bills and financial stress. You’ve told us you’re struggling to make ends meet, and we’re here to help make money less of a worry. While the service is not available just yet, we’re currently recruiting to ensure we have the right support in place.
What can you expect from this new service:
- Financial Support: We’ll guide you through understanding and claiming the financial assistance you’re entitled to.
- Energy Saving and Debt Advice: Our advisers will offer free guidance on energy saving tips, help you manage energy debt, and assist in getting you on the Priority Services Register with your energy supplier, ensuring you receive extra support and priority reconnection during supply interruptions.
- Personalised Advice: We’ll provide practical ways to reduce your energy bills based on your unique circumstances.
- Work and Career Support: If you’re balancing caring responsibilities and employment, we’ll offer guidance on job searching, interview practice, and CV advice to help you manage both.
