Chief Executive Catharine Leaves CSW

Our chief executive Catharine Hurford has informed the Board of her decision to leave Carer Support Wiltshire at the end of September 2018, though she will continue in a part time consultancy capacity while the search for her successor is completed.

The timing of Catharine’s decision ensures that a new Chief Executive will be established in the post before the start of the contract review process in 2020.

A message from Laraine Marriott, Chair of Trustees

The Board and I are grateful to Catharine for her leadership of Carer Support Wiltshire since her appointment as chief executive in January 2015 and as Operations Manager and Interim Chief Executive prior to that. During her time as chief executive she has steered the organisation through a period of continuous change in the health and social care sector and skillfully handled the changes needed to the way in which we operate arising from this. All this was achieved without losing focus on our purpose to provide the best possible support to carers in Wiltshire and maintaining excellent quality standards.

I have seen first-hand and valued her considerable management and organisational expertise as Chief Executive. Personally I shall miss an outstanding colleague, her passion for Carer Support Wiltshire and her commitment to our carers, staff and volunteers.

It is to Catharine’s credit that Carer Support Wiltshire is in such an excellent position for the next phase of its development.

Here at Carer Support Wiltshire we would like to wish Catharine every success for the future.
