Creative writing workshop – session 4 – Carers Week – Life-writing and telling your story

PLEASE NOTE THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

Are you interested in creative writing? Whether you’ve never tried before, or already have an established writing practice – join us for our creative writing workshops for unpaid carers at The Glove Factory, Holt. Thanks to funding from The Melksham Area Board and The Jack Lane Trust, these sessions are for unpaid carers with an interest in creative writing and will be a chance to connect with others, relax and hopefully learn some new techniques for writing.

Tea and coffee will be provided, along with a selection of pastries from The Wild Herb Café. Each participant will also get a journal and a pen to use and keep.

Sessions will be ran by Georgia-May Stone, Communications Officer for Carer Support Wiltshire and author. Georgia has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, and has recently finished her debut novel, The Outside, which is in the process of being published.

Each session will be focused on a different topic and carers can choose to come to all four sessions, or just the ones they are interested in. Places are limited and booking is essential.

Session four: Life-writing and telling your story

Session four will be a special session held in Carers Week and will focus on how to write from your own experiences and how sharing your story can help others in similar situations. There will also be a prize draw with two gift cards for a year magazine subscription.

To book your place, call 0800 181 4118, or email admin@carersupportwiltshire.co.uk
