From the 1 – 7 June we will be celebrating the contribution of volunteers to the work we do.

Here at Carer Support Wiltshire volunteers play an invaluable role in helping to run our Carer Cafes and Support Groups; helping our admin team; providing emotional support through our Talk & Support service; hospital carer hub volunteers and community fundraisers.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering has been proven to improve wellbeing after all it’s human nature to feel good after helping someone out. It can also help you develop new skills and experience and build confidence.

Volunteering makes you feel like you are ‘giving back’. Being a carer is a lonely place and it is good to feel part of the organisation. I have more confidence and self -esteem and feel more valued. It is wonderful to have Carer Support on our side, they do a wonderful job at valuing carers and giving them a voice.
