About Me
Caring for someone can be valuable and rewarding, but without the right support caring can have health, financial and social impacts. This online course aims to help you identify and find resources, technology and sources of support to prevent your caring responsibilities from becoming overwhelming.
Module 1: Building networks and finding support.
This module will help you identify the support available to you as a carer and look at how to build networks
Module 2: Caring for someone
In this module, you will learn about providing the best care and technologies you can use to assist you in taking care of someone.
Module 3: Building emotional resilience
This module will help you find ways to support your own health and wellbeing, and reduce the impacts of caring. It will help you develop resilience in dealing with the challenges of caring, with benefits to you and the person you care for.
Module 4: Building physical resilience
This module will help you find ways to support your own health and build physical resilience.
Module 5: Working and Caring
This module explores topics such as telling your employer and colleagues you are a carer, your legal rights, flexible working and leave arrangements, as well as leaving and returning to work.
