We’re delighted that Co-op in Corsham has chosen Carer Support Wiltshire as one of its local causes that Co-op members can choose to raise funds for.

Members can choose to donate to the Carers Cooking Project, which provides unpaid carers across Wiltshire the opportunity to learn practical new cooking skills through workshops that are designed to teach healthy eating on a budget. The Co-op in Corsham and Pickwick Petrol are both supporting this cause.

When someone starts caring for a loved one, it can be that the person wasn’t previously solely responsible for the cooking. On top of everything else, they might need to learn how to meal plan and cook nutritious meals for themselves and someone who is ill or recovering from surgery.

Our cookery courses are also a chance for carers to gain some respite from their caring duties and meet others who may be in a similar situation to their own.

If you shop at Co-op in Corsham, we would really appreciate if you would choose Carer Support Wiltshire as your chosen charity. You will need to be a Co-op member to donate. If you are not currently a Co-op member, you can sign up for £1 here.

The Co-op’s Local Community Fund allows Co-op members to choose a cause to raise funds for. For every £1 members spend on selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p goes into their membership account. The Local Community Fund has raised £84 million for over 25,000 causes since 2016.
