We’d like to say a huge thank you to Co-op and its members for raising £3,816 for our Courage to Care service.
Courage to Care supports unpaid carers within Wiltshire’s military community. The service builds a vital peer support network for military carers and helps to reduce stigma and raise awareness about military carers and the incredible work they do. We aim to support these carers and their families before they reach crisis point and empower them to seek the same training and career opportunities as their peers.
The Co-op’s Local Community Fund allows Co-op members to choose a cause to raise funds for. For every £1 members spend on selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p goes into their membership account. The Local Community Fund has raised £84 million for over 25,000 causes since 2016 and we’re delighted to have been able to benefit from the fund in order to help us continue our work supporting military unpaid carers.
The £3,816 was raised by Co-op members shopping in Amesbury branches who selected us as the charity they wanted to donate to.
