We are looking to recruit three trustees, ideally with expertise in all or a combination of the following areas:
- Legal and Governance
- Young People
Carer Support Wiltshire are working on a number of projects, including Working for Carers, which aims to help employers supports carers in the workplace, and Courage to Care, a new two-year project that will help military families in Wiltshire.
The new trustees would be supporting the charity in its aims to provide services such as these for unpaid carers and influence care and support policy. The average time commitment for these roles will be one day per month and the charity will do its utmost to accommodate any special needs or provide training required. Becoming a trustee can be a fantastic way to make a real difference to a cause you believe in and learn new skills along the way.
Existing trustee Liz Brown said:
“I joined CSW a year ago and have been inspired by the passion and commitment of the staff and volunteers. I am privileged to lead the steering group of volunteers and staff for our new Courage2Care service which supports military cares in Wiltshire. As a carer too I know how vital our work is to sustain lonely and vulnerable people in our community.”
