Much of my working life has been in the voluntary sector, designing and running training programmes for middle managers and workplace mentors in small charities. I joined CSW as a volunteer seven years ago, becoming volunteer representative on the quality and policy sub-committee, and in 2017 I was elected as a Trustee, then as Vice-Chair in June 2018.
I am married with two sons and one granddaughter. She has complex special needs, so I have direct experience of the problems faced by parent carers. I also have an elderly mother who lives 300 miles away, which presents another set of care issues of a type becoming increasingly common in today’s society. Gardening, maintaining an allotment, and doggy matters keep me fit and sane.
